White women have them too. They don't show as much & the owners prefer not to parade them around anyway.

I learned that bedbugs have been with us since cave days, and that they lived among the bats (in said caves) before adapting to life with us humans.

I've learned over the years that if you want a traffic light to change, simply start opening a piece of mail. Works every time. Guaranteed.

Hmm. You know how there's some goofy holiday or celebration for practically every day of the year? Apparently, there's none for July 10th. We should remedy that.

I just stumbled across the fact that Robert Miles, notorious as the KKK Grand Dragon in Michigan a few decades back, was considered one of the 3 biggest hatemongering white supremacists in the entire country when he was still working that trade. At the same time I learned that he was running his operation through a church: the Mountain Church of Jesus Christ The Savior in nearby Cohoctah, Michigan.

Hey, is this why I've heard George MichaeL every single time I've turned the radio on today?

When I first heard the term "cross-stitch" I thought they were saying "crotch-stitch" and thought, "That doesn't sound like much fun."

Only the greatest cake in this or any universe! Unless it's spice cake with cinnamon frosting. I learned that there is a therapy that can actually build, or rebuild, a parent-child relationship to address trauma, hyperactivity, defiance, even autism. Apparently it's dynamite.

That name rings a bell from my old tape-trading days, although I don't think I ever saw her "Sewing Circle". I will heed your advice though. My imagining of it is probably awful enough.

I'm almost 100% certain that Gren put at least a clip from that on a mix that he sent me.

I'm almost 100% certain that Gren put at least a clip from that on a mix that he sent me. Kern's stuff became kind of ubiquitous for a certain kind of No Wave horror/outrage style between about 1984-1994, iirc.
I think some of the participants (Lydia Lunch, Henry Rollins, Sonic Youth, Karen Finley, Kembra Pfahler) had serious artistic/political goals or points they wanted to make.
Pretty sure Richard was mostly in it for the T&A, though I'm open to persuasion otherwise.
