Back on the old board, I mentioned seeing Johnny Winter perform in an Uncle Sam Costume, asking if it was a one time only thing, and I was told that, no, he did wear the Uncle Sam costume on more than one occasion.
I've done some image searches on Johnny Winter, and found more images that I would have time to view all of them, but none in the Uncle Sam costume.
I am sure that a photo, and a video on u-tube of him performing in the Uncle Sam costume could be found, but I just don't know the right words to use and the right way to go about finding it, via a net search.
I found it really, would the right word be "classy?" to see him doing his song in an Uncle Sam costume.
Any Winter fans, Johnny and/or Edgar, on the board?
Johnny lived to age 70, and the last check I did, Edgar was still living.

I'm aware that he might have chosen that Uncle Sam outfit to wear on other occasions, but it might help with your hunt if he did any concerts on the 4th dressed like that.

Great idea, Dr. Claw. I'll get right to it! Never thought of that idea before!

I'm reasonably sure that the TV show I remember was at night, on ABC-TV, and it was probably after 10 PM.
I surfed utube thru a lot of Johnny Winter videos early this morning, and didn't find any where he was in an Uncle Sam costume.
Most often he wore a black hat, not as high as a "top" hat, tho.
I did notice "Jumpin Jack Flash" as one of his mid 1970s recordings.
And, it seems like that might have been the song he did on the ABC-TV show.
I'm wondering now if my memory of Johnny performing in an Uncle Sam costume could be a false memory?
Maybe just what looked to me like an Uncle Sam costume, but really wasn't?
But, I know the firstime I mentioned it on the old board, one of those who replied said they had also seen him perform in an Uncle Same costume.
I did find the name of a weekly rock concert that ABC had in 1974 & 1975, but forget it now.
I suppose I could look thru 74-75 TV schedules for an episode of that show that featured the Beach Boys and Johnny Winter.
I'm sure there are people who could quickly and readily give me an answer to my question, but I just don't have any idea who they might be, and how to find them.
Over on CHFB, when I discussed night time TV movies, such as the CBS late movie, some members did check TV schedules for those years (films discussed were Todd Killings, and Angel Angel Down We Go, on USA TV).
CHFB has an off the topic of horror films section, so I'm thinking of possibly asking my question there.

Or maybe The Midnight Special, though that was on NBC.

No, Deeky, but that is one I possibly should ask them about. Thanks for reminding me. I would still think that one would probably be for very specialized scat message boards.

I've decided to put my question about Jonny Winter and the Uncle Sam costume to the membership of CHFB, but have to find a title for my off tipic thread that will grab their attention.
I did a lot of thinking (No, my oft done soul searching wasn't necessary).
TV schedule Question?
Johnny Winter Question?
Uncle Sam?
No, I finally thought Rock n' Roll Hoochie Coo would be best.
But, I'm not sure how to spell it.
And, I don't know if that was a Johnny Winter song, or an Edgar Winter song.
But, I know sometimes they did work together, so they could have both done that song.
So, it's off to a net search to find the right spelling of Rock N' Roll Hootchiee Koo, or however you spell it.
Or, would Jumpin Jack Flash Question be better, since I did watch Johnny perform that song on u-tube, and I think it might have been the one he did on that ABC-TV concert.
Maybe I'm getting close to Soul Searching now.

Also, Rick Derringer was kinda cute! Is Kinda Cute adequate for Deeky Wentworth? Of is only Cute with no modification acceptable to him?

Well, like the Frank Sinatra & Eddie Hodges song in A Hole In the Head, I had High Hopes that my wonderful friends over on CHFB would quickly respond to this vexing problem (as Jed Clampett said about nephew Jethro's enfatuation with stripper Miss Chikadee), I've been having over Johnny Winter and the Uncle Sam Suit.
Well, it didn't turn out that way.
Half an hour later, there were more new threads, but no responses to my question, and my thread was way down on the list of posts.
I thought Jumpin Jack Flash and Uncle Sam Question would be the best title for my thread to get a good response.
I would probably have been better off mentioning my vexing problem on another thread, since often times off the topic of Classic Horror & SF topics are injected into threads on the regular parts of that board.
I might have to just wind up going thru old TV schedules from the 1970s All By Myself (Eric Carmen song) to find out what I want to.

I'm mildly amused you refer to me in the third-person, as if I'm not really here.

In Concert aired on ABC on Friday nights. Maybe that was it.
