This could just as well have gone in the "happy" thread, I suppose...

Hadn't listened to Mr. Bungle's first album for a while. This is the first track, originally called 'Travolta' but changed to 'Quote Unquote' after Barbarino's lawyers threatened to sue. I had completely forgotten a little bit of lyric near the end...
With his mouth sewn shut, he still shakes his butt 'Cause he's Hitler and Swayze and Trump and... Travolta

One of Lou's stranger ones. Written to cheer up Andy Warhol after the assassination attempt. I like this version better than the one on Transformer.

That's one of my favorite Naked Raygun songs as well, Kobb. Here's another:

Do you guys have artists that you don't listen to for long stretches, but always seem to eventually return to for brief stretches? Elvis Costello is like that for me.

I'm the same way with EC too, actually. Not the same thing, but I also always hit a point where I need a break from the Melvins for a little while.

You know, as awesome as that band is, I don't own a single album of theirs. I need to rectify that.

I was reading an article today from a 2018 issue of The Nation about some of the white supremacists that the alt-right were recruiting to run for office at the time. No further explanation needed:

The artist/band I currently would like to see more than any other on the planet. Every tune by this French duo sounds like an invocation.

I love these guys. This is actually a cover of a song by fellow krautpunk band Terrorgruppe, who are good too, but these guys are far more whimsically twisted.

I'm certain that I've posted this before, but this is a really good time to contemplate where it's coming from.

I love these guys' approach to hardcore. This may be the best song from a really good album:
