Junipurty pictures indeed! Great to see you again, lady! Hope 2017 went decent for you. My 2018 seems to be off to a nice enough start. You know, I have still never sat down to Picnic at Hanging Rock? Anyway, it is a pretty picture thread, so let's see what I have sitting around on the drive:

Picnic at Hanging Rock is definitely a high falutin pinkies out type movie. It's weird, the author of the original book decided to pull a stunt, and while she wrote a chapter at the end explaining everything, she kept it sealed from the public until some time after her death. I'd argue the story is better without the missing chapter because it dramatically changes the entire tone of the book.

I know I have occasionally encountered Atkinson Grimshaw here and there but always forget to look closer. I think I really need to familiarize myself with his work.

It probably requires closer inspection to be sure.

This reminds me a lot of John Evert Millais' Ophelia. Only less unsettling. Or maybe just a different strain of unsettling.

The inimitable Ms. Debbie Harry --as painted (literally) by H.R. Giger.

I'll never be this guy, but I'm glad to know he exists.
