If you're going to set up those camps, Billy, I'm going to have to insist on there being a bridge between them.

Deeky, you are the webmaster, so you can Do What Thou Wilt as far as member rankings go. Since we have both ladies and gents here on the board, I have wondered if the rankings should be sex specific. For example, monster cock would not be right for a lady member, similary love goddess would not be right for a gentleman member. I think we should have some gender distinction in the rankings, for example, Love Goddess for the ladies and Love God for the gents. Billy, you don't even have a gender chosen.

That's because he's a Monster Love Cock Goddess. They self-replicate.

Shin Godzilla is so very good. It's probably the most critical of current Japanese culture since the original. Like a major message the director (the dude who made the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime) is trying to get across is that Japan needs to move past its manchild phase it's been in since Hiroshima where the country has never moved past the phase of needing its hands held by everyone else despite WW2 being 3-4 generations ago now, and instead they seem to be regressing. Japan has a real problem lately of population DECREASE, with childish hobbies (which are okay on their own) superseding interest in even meeting others and procreating. Japan needs to grow up, and fast if they want to survive to see the next century. It's also a brutal satire of the Japanese government's handling of the Fukushima disaster, which is sort of the perfect thing to make a modern Godzilla movie about. ("There is absolutely no way the creature can come on land.... It what?!") Yeah, I loved Shin Godzilla, too. One of the comic book artists I was chatting with on Friday at the convention down here was visiting Japan and was recognized by the director on a bus and got to hang out with him! (And yes, I could have probably worded the above better. Short on sleep and a bit geeked out from the long weekend.)

I watched William Friedkin's Cruising with Al Pacino last night. Needed a strong defoliant to the high doses of geekdom I was exposed to over the weekend at Pensacon.

Deeky, I edited my personal profile settings, selecting male and top. And, I saved the changes. The "top" is now visible under my avatar, but the mars male symbol is still not showing up.

Go to profile > edit > privacy > gender visibility.

Thanks for telling me Deeky. I will now do what you told me. Well, Deeky, I did change it to show gender visibility, and told it to save the change. But, the mars/male symbol is still not showing up. I also dropped the role altogether, and saved the change, and the role is now gone. I'll go back to gender visibility and save it again.

I watched Berberian Sound Studio (2012) last night. Very odd movie that admittedly left me confused.

It's honestly a non-issue since there is no way to make a rank specific to a gender. It is solely based on the number of posts.

Yeah, I remember as late as the 60's, when message boards did have separate designations for genders. The Net's come a long way since then. And last night we watched the Netflix original The Ritual (2017), which was solid freaky horror fun.
