I heard a really great cover of this by a female vocalist, but damned if I can find it on Yuutuub.

Thought I had replied on this thread, but it was apparently on another thread.
Got it where it belongs now.

Well, they never sang the song, the chorus of which goes, "sob, sob, I ain't got the money for the mortgage on the cow," which is plalying in my head over and over again for the past few days and today.
It will take a lot more searching I don't have time to do right now, to find it.

I'm not a huge Tracy fan, but there's usually that one song on every album that just destroys me.

Funny you should post this one, because I cam here to post a song with almost the same title:

I can take-or-leave the fan vid, but the audio's HQ on this favorite from her "Welcome to Sunny Florida" album:

You know, aside from "Schools Out" I don't think I've ever heard another Alice Cooper song.

You know, aside from "Schools Out" I don't think I've ever heard another Alice Cooper song. Well, Deeky, you haven't really missed all that much. Right now, there aren't many or any songs playing in my head, and that's good, because I probably need a rest from it. Ronald Rusty Woomer, a very norotious killer who, after 10 years of appealing his death sentence, for atrocious murders I won't detail, but I'd think that Goldie might know about, said, after he Accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, got saved, and was transformed into a kind, gentle, sweet and nice person that all of the prison officials fell in love with, said that in being executed he would be getting a rest he needed from life. He liked to go fishing with his mother, and he planned to do more of that when he got his rest in Heaven. I don't know what all that has to do with the song playing in your or my head right now, and my recently reading Ronald Rusty's life story is a rare exception to my giving up reading true crime stories, but with the word, "rest," it just came to me. And, remember the ending of that "ponderous, dogmatic bore" of a 1930s film, Things To Come, when a character says, "when will there be any rest?" and he was told, "rest for the individual, too much too soon, and we call it death." If I could be earning some money, I would not be wasting my time with all of this nonsense.

I disagree with that in the strongest possible terms, Billy. About Alice Cooper, I mean. I am posting this lovely song to get "Stayin' Alive" out of my head. I dreamed this morning that I was doing CPR on someone and to keep the right rhythm you have to listen to the fncking Bee Gees in your mind as you bash away at the guy's ribcage. This is badly needed relief.
