Recorded the vocals separately, then changed the pitch in Audacity.

Love the jingling continuing at the end.
Also, this is as good a place as any to mention that I need to buy a) a microphone that I can record vocals with and b) some decent mixing software that can overlay mp3s and has at least rudimentary effects abilities, neither, hopefully, too expensive. This Audacity that you speak of sounds like it could fulfill at least one of my needs. |

I put this into my MP3 player at the end of last year to listen to it and then my player died and I forgot that I never got around to it. Great stuff. I love lo-fi creativity (I'm trying to figure out how to do some of that myself at the moment). I get the sense that you were going for a kind of Tom Waits vibe.

Basically, I recorded by putting my phone next to my amp.
The vocals were done on a microphone made from a piezo pickup and an altoid can. The battery died on my echo pedal, so the echo effect had to be added in Audacity.
I recently purchased a cassette recorder and want experiment with that some for Lo-Fi recording.
