Well, Deeky, you answered your own question, now I hope that Choco answers the question that I answeered him.
This thread started off with my discussing my Project of reading all pages of all threads of the old ZAQB, and deciding which ones I wanted to save to CD and/or USB.
I'm glad to say that I am making excellent progress on that project, but since this thread has been derailed, and, I am not doing much soul searching about what to save from the old board, but making firm decisions on what to save or not save, I think I'll start a new thread on the Old ZAQB board on the members only board, and will keep it on topic.

Choco I know it's been a long time since the last post to this thread, but could you eplain to me, who Mitchell and Webb aree, and what those two still captioned photos below the video link are all about? Mitchell and Webb are the sketch comedy duo represented in the video deeky posted and the meme I posted in response. They are NOT affiliated with Mr. Show. Deeky posted a nonsensical sketch by them, with him claiming it to be a Mr. Show sketch, and I responded with a meme-format image from a different sketch by them about broken promises. |

Deeky's more about the Taint: Webmaster Deeky, and Choco, I hope I've got the cursor in the right part of the reply field. I had previously noticed that guy with the 'stache in the "taint" video, and wondered it if might be a bit uh, "racy," since I darned well know that "taint" is a less fancy word for "perenium," (Remember Deeky's location being "at the perennium?" I never had my headset handy when I was surfing thru this thread, then about a week ago, when I did have my headset handy, I looked and looked, and looked, and couldn't find the "taint" video, and concluded it might have been removed by the copyright holder. Well, today, searching thru Choco's posts, I accidently found the "taint" video, so I was able to watch it with the sound (I was right in concluding that however "racy" it might have or not have been, I would need to hear the sound (I was thinking that it was a music video), to fully appreciate it. Well, any doubts about the raciness of the video disappeared when I put on my headset, plugged it in to the computer and clicked on the video! It far exceeded my wildest imagination of what a "taint" video would be like even at its raciest. I had no idea that there were TV shows such as "Mr. Show." I have thought about watching more of his shows from the list, but so far have not recovered from the "Taint" video (sort of like Forry telling a letter writer that He had not yet recovered from Blood Feast, and had yet to see 2000 Maniacs). It's perineum, not perennium. Damned autocorrect. |

Thanks for alerting me, Goldie, that was back before Deeky pointed out to me how to manually correct by right clicking on red underlined words.
Of course, Forry once quoted Mark Twain as saying he had no respect for anyone who couldn't spell a word more than one way.
I did a long net search on the history of that saying, and Forry's quotation was somewhat off from what Mark Twain was quoted as saying, a variation on what some other person had said.
