Can anyone on here tell me if DVDs play from the outside in to the hole in the center, or inside from the hole to the rim?
I know that last word I used might invite some smart alek remarks, but get your mind out of the gutter. This is not a joking matter. I need to do some cleaning of DVDs I am having playback problems with.

DVDs, CDs, blu-rays all play from the center out.

DVDs, CDs, blu-rays all play from the center out. Silly me; I would have thought it was the opposite.

Forry Ackerman claimed that the sountrack disks for the 1931 film, played from the center to the rim. Those discs and some other discs of other films were stolen from the Ackermansion, and I don't think Forry ever recovered any of them.

Yeah, I always stay clear of that inner circle when labeling my CDs and DVDs.
This on the advice of Grendel72 and it seems like someone else (?) several boards ago.
Hope he's doing alright, where'er he be.

Well, I suppose we can take some comfort in that they cards are not being returned as unforwardable.

No, that only happens with the ones I finally stopped sending to Deeky.

I contacted him many years back and his response was polite but firm that he felt he needed to not be in touch with people from our extended group. Have no idea whether that's changed in the ensuing time; maybe I'll try again at some point, maybe even on Instagram.

What makes you say that Deeks? He just sounded flat-out psychotic to me. But you may know more about him than I do; in fact that's very, very likely.

The way he'd go from being your best buddy to your arch enemy at the drop of a dime. One slightest thing and he'd hate you forever. And there'd be no going back once that happened.
But you're the headshrinker here. I could be totally wrong.

But you're the headshrinker here. I could be totally wrong. If that's what he was doing, yeah, that could definitely be the case. Borderlines always have this long list of people who've betrayed them or whatever. But the way he talked about people he was angry at always sounded so friggin psychotic. Like the day he got furious at someone for not being convinced that Barack Obama was going to be assassinated, back when he was still a mere presidential candidate. But then Borderlines also become psychotic at the drop of a hate, not usually for very long though.
Total personality disintegration does that to a person.
