It's now been almost three months since I've worked for and gotten a pay check. Got notice this week my company after having me, and all the other emoloyees "On Furlough" for all this time, will be allowed to return to work next week.
I suppose that is good news and bad news at the same time.
While my general feeling about the Virus Panic is I do not feel any panic, because in terms of numbers the number of people who catch it is small, and the number of people who die from it is even smaller.
But if you, or I, or anyone else such as our friends and family members, are among those small numbers of people, knowing that doesn't provode amy comfort.
With me doing the type of work where I can set my own hours, to work when the places I work in are the least crowded I didn't want to stop working in the first place.
And, it was quite a big adjustment to no longer be working.
Now, it is going to be another big adjustment to start back working.
And, while I was out for my one triip outside of the Dungeon today, I saw local newspaper headlines that the area I live in, has become a Virus "Hot Spot," where cases have "spiked," which has not caused me any panic attacks, but it is Not Good News, as far as I am concerned.

Well, Deeky, that was an unusual video. Can you give me any background on it?

Well, to whoever is interested, I've spent the morning and early afternoon getting my work computer internal and external batteries charged, and synching the computer to get my data up to date.
Also, a a supply of face masks for me to wear on the job, and I suppose hand sanitizer? has not yet arrived at the post office.
I've got to take an online course on how to work with all the Virus Panic safety precautions, wearing the face masking, washing hands before and after work, and no telling what else, and I plan to do that later today or tonite.
So, next week,it is Back To Work, which will be quite a change in my life, for the better since I will start back getting a pay check.
But, after doing virtually nothing 24/7, it will be quite a change that will require some getting used to.
There are a whole lot of Godzilla and other Japanese monster movies running on Comet TV today, in their proper 2.35 to 1 aspect ratio, but I'm not watching, just left the TV on, tuned to Comet, to keep my cable adaptor working (I left it unplugged several years and had to get a new one, due to deterioration from non use, or changes to a new device or whatever reason it was, so when I'm not using the TV set, which is also turned on to keep it in operating condition, along with my exterior sound system.
Without MST 3 K there's virtually nothing I want to see on comet, with the featuere films way down on most of the schedule filled up with series TV shows.
They used to have a constant list of 30 to 40 feature films scheduled, but now, it's down to 20.
I dutifully typed up the scehdule and sent to Dave Szurek every week, but have not done so until yesterday. Only 7 of the 20 feature films were scheduled from Tuesday, JUne 16, thru Sunday, June 21, so my letter to dave was very short, only one page.
Have made some progress working on the electrical circuits of my car.
I am totally fed up with the remote door locker and unlokdcer on my car key ring, having bought a new one since the old one was worn out.
It has been virtually not working recently, and I opened it up and checked the battery, which read 3 volts, the right voltage. Can amps and other parts of the electrical current lessen when the voltage is still max?
I put in a new 3 volt battery, so I'll soon find out when I make my one trip outside of the dungeon today.
Also got to work on my power outside rear view mirrors, the left one working OK, butthe right one not working.
Also the right door lock knob just broke between my fingers when I pulled it up manually, and I have to replace the whole rod that goes down to the lock itself, no screw on knob on the top.

We should start handing out plaques or something for achieving new ranks.

For me to go back to work I had to take an online training course of how to carry out my job duties, with over 50 questions to read and answer correctly, for a passing grade, which took me over an hour do do, and after reading all the rules and regs I have to comply with, washing hands before and after going to work,20 seconds, and disinfecting my work computer with a solution of 1/2 cup 70 per cent isopropyl alchol and 1/2 cup distilled water, from a spray bottle, onto a towel, spraying the solution directly onto the computer being a no-no, and having to wear a face mask the whole time I am on the job, I'm not sure I even want to go back to work!
But, working at a job, and being an employee, with an employee ID number, and having social security, unemployment and medicare taxes as well as state and federal income taxes deducted from my pay check, and reported on W-2 forms, does give me a sense of living a normal life, and legitimacy in my life, and being Somebody and Something in Human Society, a need that most of us have.

And, a question for Webmaster Deeky. I noticed that everyone but countzero had one of those Twitter flags by their names, although no member that I have clicked on the Twitter flag icon so far, has produced any link to their having a Twitter account.
I am leaning toward not joining Twitter, because I am just a member of too many web posting sites. I'm thinking of deleting most of my Flickr photos, as I've said in a previous post, but first must carry out the dreaded task of getting a new password for my Flickr account doing that loathsome chore once tonight, to take that test for returning to my job, was one too many times to think up of a new password, so the Flickr photo deletion project is now on hold for awhile.
I will repeat myself by saying that I have had little use for my Tumbler account, altho Deviant Art has had some items of interest. And, so far, no one here on ZAQB has replied that they were members of Deviant Art.

I am not now nor have I ever been a member of the Twitterist Party.
I do have a DeviantArt account, however. I just don't use it much.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't see any links to Twitter anywhere here so I can really comment on your statement.

Wait, I mean each ranking. Looks like the Irish flag, or possibly the Russian one. I have vaguely wondered what it represents without ever looking into it. Around here I would guess it means we have our freak flags flying.

The rainbow flag represents LGBTQ Pride.

I think it's a pride flag because it's pride month? Correct. This year Proboards announced they were putting a rainbow flag next to everyone's account that had identified as LGBTQ. So that is were that came from.

So that is were that came from. And I swear to you it looks orange, green and white to me. If I squint it looks red, white and blue. Even now you have told me that it does not look like a rainbow flag.

Thanks for explaining things to us, Webmaster Deeky. As I have probably said before, I do get mixed up about a lot of things, and it seemed to me that I first saw that flag next to a person's avatar on Twitter, and somehow got the idea that everyone on Twitter had that flag next to their name, and/or avatar, but after re-surfing Twitter, I could not find it next to anyone's name and/or avatar on that message board, if that is what Twitter is properly called.
