There's things I like about Christmas and the Holidays, and there's things I don't like about them. I am not a total Grinch. I'm drawn like a moth to nicely done holiday lights. One of the things I definitely don't like about the holidays is Christmas music. I've always had a soft spot for "Silent Night", but otherwise I pretty much despised any and all musical attempts at Christmas songs. Just about every music genre out there has made Christmas songs or whole albums, and they always suck.
So, I'd love for anyone here to change my mind about this. Play me some good Christmas music, ZAQB. I'm begging you.

There is a choral piece by British composer Benjamin Britten called 'A Ceremony of Carols' that consists of twelve parts. The choir that Lemmy and I were in would sing it at least once every Christmas. It's very much rooted in older styles of music but through Britten's modern sensibility. It's written for a soprano chorus divided into three parts and a harp. Britten was always one of my favorite choral composers and this is a great piece. It's even a little psychedelic in places, such as the use of the round at the end of this piece, 'This Little Babe.' The whole thing is worth hearing. Toke up and give it a listen.
