Hey everybody, really appreciate the post about the Him Porno search and all the amateur sleuths in this board. I was hoping i can bring some attention to an ongoing porno mystery I have known about. Here is a summary on the mystery: In 2003, rapper and producer MF DOOM released an album Take Me To Your Leader under the name King Geedorah. The first song on the album is called "Fazers". Here is the instrumental: The track features a predominant orchestral sounding sample that has gone unknown since the original release of the track. Fans of the track and album have been trying to ID the sample since the original release, and there has been absolutely no luck with it. In 2018, the podcast The House List released a previously unreleased interview with MF DOOM from 2003, around the time of the release of the album. In the interview, MF DOOM talks about the original source for the sample and it is pretty wild. Here is the excerpt. In the clip, MF DOOM mentions that his friend E Mason (aka E Dub) found the Fazers sample from a late 1970s porno and gave it to DOOM. The only real specifics he says about the porno is that the scene with the music involves a skinny dude in cowboy boots and two chicks. Ever since the release of this information, a few fans have done personal searches looking through old late 70s / early 80s pornos featuring cowboy boots, cowboys etc. looking for the music. There has been no luck yet. So that's the search: Music from an obscure 70s cowboy porno that later ended up on a rap song around 25 years later. Does this one interest anybody? I know it's no Him, but hoping it is interesting to some people here. Any ideas/suggestions for the search?
