Look who I ran into in Lowe's today! Holy shit! And all their Halloween stuff is already put away, isn't it? I just want to remind everyone here that it's mid-September.

I always wanted this 7' Krampus from Spirit Halloween, but couldn't justifiy the $350 pricetag. Now it's unavailable (through Spirit) and I wonder if some risks are better taken.

Krampus is back available at Spirit!
Actually? I've been browsing Lowe's holiday inflatables online today. Maybe you've seen houses with big inflatable dinosaurs outside wearing witch's hats (for Halloween) or Santa hats (for Christmas)? Well, apparently it's a bigger trend than I'd ever imagined. Lowe's carries eleven different Christmas dinosaur inflatables! I think I've found the solution to my Christmas yard dilemma.

Sounds like to me like you've got your own Nativity scene.

Sounds like to me like you've got your own Nativity scene. I was sorely tempted to. Can you imagine dinosaurs coming at the Nativity scene from both sides? Instead, since my front yard is huge and a corner lot, I'll have scenes on each street-facing side. Got four dinosaurs, two Christmas trees and a big gift pile (all light-up inflatables). The dinosaurs are adorable and look more like happy green puppies. Santa's riding one, another is hugging a teddy bear, and the others have presents in their mouths or at their feet.
And perhaps the greatest thing about this is: It should do. No need to endanger my elderly ass hanging lights or any of that nonsense. I even have a couple of those starry light projectors I could break out on the sides of the house (although one needs a fuse replaced or something). And I might even make this a yearly thing to pick up a new inflatable dinosaur to add to the display every year going forward. Got to see how this actually pans out first.
