This is probably only interesting to me, but this is the first year in literally twenty+ years I didn't watch a "holiday horror'-themed movie. I kind of consider "Fatman" (2020) this year's view, even though it wasn't horror per se. But aside from that, I really didn't get around to a Christmas sort of horror this year as I had for so many.

I was in the middle of watching a bunch of cheesy 70's space spoofs for some of December, and did watch some more recent horror-themed flicks, but just didn't see any specifically holiday-themed ones. I did start one called "Deathcember" a week or so out from Christmas, but just wasn't feeling it this year, I suppose.
As far as the subgenre goes, it seems like there's more holiday horrors out every year now, so it certainly wasn't for lack of new movies to see.

There's a house down the street from me with a sign tacked up to a tree with NO TRESPASSING and the outline of an assault rifle below. There more words below that, but I figure if I stick around long enough to read those they'll have a bead on me.
Anyway, they placed a smiling, welcoming 2D snowman at the base of the tree for the holidays with nary a hint of irony.
