I probably only ever saw him as Tevye in the big screen adaptation of "Fiddler on the Roof" (1971). Musicals usually aren't my thing, but that movie (and especially him in it) is just wonderful.

To give an idea of how little I was when I first saw it in the theater, Tevye's dream scene in the graveyard scared the shit out of me. I was like first grade?
