Didn't the BPeople have some membership overlap with the Consumers and/or 45-Grave?

Same guitarist in all three, I do believe.

It just occurred to me that this is kind of more of a Metallica song than a Slayer song.

I love the way the ominous tone of the music is totally at odds with the lyrics.

The Melvins' love of Kiss is so great that they once did a tribute to the "each member of Kiss makes their own record" thing, with matching covers to boot, and I think drummer Dale Crover's record is my favorite.

Any Phil Ochs fans here? Excellent example of the quintessential folk singer, complete with tragic fate. (Seriously, a sad story.)
Some of his songs are pretty amusing. This is not one of them.

Not my actual mental state. But vintage --complete with skinny Ozzy.

Said purchase of said album has always been a fond memory from those days, comrade. It seemed so badass, because, you know, exploding head.

I've been filling in some gaps in my collection of late-'70s British punk, much of which doesn't do all that much for me, frankly, but I did discover The Ruts' first single, and it's already launched its way into my pantheon.

It's a credit to Priest that they sound nearly identical to the album live. Never got to see them. Was rooming with a metalhead back in art school. Huge Priest fan. He's actually who turned me on to them. He must have seen them three twice just in the months we shared a place. I watched his boa constrictor bite him in the arm while he was cranking the Queensryche.

My favorite Ruts song, for whatever that's worth:

"Miss America" --David Byrne.
