Darn COVID-19 killed this year's Pensacola Crawfish Festival. Usually sometime during our Festival of Five Flags celebrations. Like in the previous two weeks. No biggie for me, honestly. Not a mud bug lover here.

Plans are moving forward on my very own LittleFreeLibrary! I'd wanted one since I lived in another part of town where there were quite a few. Now, with my own place, I can finally have one of my very own. I have zero skills or tools, but in touch with a fellow who is quite the opposite. Should cost me significantly less than if I was to have it done other ways.

I'm glad you asked! I wish I could put it on the busy street where my actual address is listed. But the street is too busy, with an 's'-curve leading up to it from one direction, and no sidewalks. I have my mailbox down there because it HAS to be on the street my addy is filed under. I have a corner lot, and it'll be a lot safer for everybody if I have it high on my west side, where there's a break in the azalea bushes. Technically, I don't live on that street, but that's the side where my driveway and the front of my house are.
Here's the part that bothers me: I want to register my LFL with the official .org site. They have a worldwide map (of all the LFL's) and everything! It just sucks that it will have to be on the little side street. I'd be committing murder if I put the thing on the busy street, though. I'll just have to hope that fellow bibliophiles can find it just round the corner.

Can you post a sign with an arrow that says "LFL THIS WAY"? I finally found a solution to the"WTF do I do with this desirable piece of furniture" issue. I found a spot for it in the kitchen, behind Mr. Skully, and filled it with boxes of Costco phude so it's no longer blocking the thruway. Next: flattening and disposing of 8 million emptied boxes Which are blocking the same thruway.

Happiness is never getting an invitation to the Zoom meeting you were dreading anyway.

I thought about it. If it was just a little arrow-shaped wood one hanging low to the ground, it could be kind of cute in the corner garden!

Finally broke the new(ish) Epson printer in on a decent-sized project last night. Quite pleased with the speed and ink usage on this model over the old Canon printer.

For this to happen in Flint, of all places, warms my 2-chambered heart:

Welp, Li'l Ishiro Honda needs basically all new brakes and an alignment -- the latter not that surprising in light of the 2 recent rear-end collisions -- to the tune of around a thousand simoleons. But today is payday and I did finally get my stimulus check, so I can totally pay for it.

Demarcus knows a gal who prints specialty face masks, so a few of us had these memorial masks made in honor of Larry.

I just finally returned my quarantine bottles and cans. (Home only, not office returnables.)
Thirty-one dollars and twenty cents.

Nice! They pay you for your recyclables up there? We just throw all ours in a curbside can. They're pretty loose about it down here.

Not recylables. Returnables! Michigan is the home of the 10-cent bottle and can return. Recyclables go in the recycling bin -- for instance, the big stack of flattened La Croix boxes I had after returning all those cans.

New Dog and Long Time Resident Dog went on a walk tonight and there was no growling, grumbling, or other dog disagreement.
Progress is happening.
