I was very happy to see No Doz on the shelf at Dollar tree. But, it was a box of only 4 caplets. I didn't see a shelf price and wondered how much those 4 No Dozes would cost. Then realizing the was the Dollar Tree store, I realized it was One Dollar for 4 No Doz Caplets.
At that price, what would a whole bottle of No Doz cost? Can't find that empty last No Doz bottle I bought, to find out.
Jet Alert, one of the generic caffiene pills, is low priced and has 30 pills. With No Doz being so expensive, it is obvious why you don't see it any more in stores, to speak of, and yesterday's (or, Saturday's Surprise) was totall unexpected. I never thought I'd see No Doz on sale again, anywhere.

If there's a 2-for-one sale you get 80 tablets, or 160 doses, for like 7 bucks, or 4 cents per half a dose. Jet-Alert is right next it it, 120 tablets too small to split for 12 bucks, but each Jet Alert is 100 mg where Stay Awake is 200 mg. I'd like to thank the company my friend works for that probably makes both pills at a price I can afford. I do want to take issue with the statement on the Jet Alert bottle that claims it's non-habit-forming. Bullshit it isn't, do you think I'm stupid or something? |

Goldie, when I started on caffiene pills, back in 1976, after giving up coffee and soda pop, and realizing just how I had been on the drug of caffiene, and didn't realize it, I found that it was great being able to sleep anytime of the day or night, but my would you say biorythm? of waking and sleeping was totally out of synch with the artificial schedules imposed upon I and the rest of the members of human society, and that to effectively function in society, I was going to need Caffiene to keep me awake and able to function.
With caffiene pills, I knew exactly the amount of caffiene that I was using, and could write it down in my log books.
Starting on No Doz, i noticed that 100 MG was the standard dose for all caffiene pills, then I don't know how many years laer, it seems that all of them went to 200 MG as the standard dose.
I found that too high a dosage for me, and started breaking the 200 MG pills in half to stay with the 100 MG per dose, 200 MG being too much for me.
I am buying those No-Doz pills purely as a nostalgic thing, to Keep Alive the Good Old Days.
I also noticed that Jet Alert, much more reasonably priced, did offer both 200 MG and 100 MG pills, so I have stayed with their 100 MG pills for my Main Dosing, with an occasional No Doz, which I will continue to keep a supply of to remember that the Good Ole Days are still here.
