Lost in Space An entirely accurate title. Netflix's reboot of the silly TV show. Decent effort, a little too grim at times, and somehow lacking any real tension. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I hope to see that someday if only to see Parker Posey as Dr. Smith.

Wonder Woman Probably the first superhero movie I've seen since Batman vs. Tom Hardy. Fun stuff.

No, more that I don't have much interest in superheroes in general. I only watched Wonder Woman because a friend wanted to see it.

Deeky, don't know if you remember my telling you via PM, about a man in My Little Town, that I called Tommy Tell Me True (as a pun on the film Tammy Tell Me True).
Well, remember it or not, I think it's OK for me to mention Tommy Tell Me True (as long as I leave out his surname).
I had heard some people say that Tommy Tell Me True talked like Dr. Smith on Lost In Space.
I mentioned that to Tommy Tell Me True, and he was not honored or even amused.
He was very offended at being compared to Dr. Smith on Lost in Space.
I might have also told you that by PM, but I'm not certain. Tommy and his Telling Me True (and, somtimes False, since he said Walt Disney's remains had been cyrogenically preserved, while other reports said Mr. Disney's remains had been cremated), is a very dear memory to me.

I don't think I'd like the comparison, either. Although I suppose it could be worse. I doubt anyone wants to be told they sound like Fran Drescher, for instance.

Girl Most Likely Kristen Wiig is a NYC playwright who's life spins out of control and is forced to return to her mother's home on the Jersey Shore. It was fun and cute.

So, went to the movies for the first time in ages yesterday and enjoyed A Quiet Place, then later last night I watched Jackie Chan doing insane stunts in Armour of God 2: Operation Condor. Helluva fun ride, and that scene in Pirates of the Caribbean 2 or 3 where Capt Jack Sparrow meets the cannibals owes a tremendous debt.

I stumbled across a complete set of uncut Kids In The Hall episodes and was watching my way through them, but backed off to watch my old reliable Silence Of The Lambs. I was afraid of getting nightmares from too much comedy. I may go next to Mr. Frost which is another great shrink-bashing classic. Goldie, I don't suppose that uncut also meant uncensored? Anyone who watched TKITH, remember when troupe member Mark McKinney (or is it MacKinney), told the auidence he wanted to strip off all his clothes, which he did, full frontal nudity, but with his equipment censored, I forget if it was pixel censored or blurred, or black bar censored. I'm just wondering if there is an uncensored tape of that episode? I found the episode this morning while walking on the treadmill. They did in fact censor Mike McKinney's wedding tackle. Sorry!
BTW it was not pixelated or black barred in the usual sense -- they put a big X across his schmenge.

I loathe Jeff Goldblum the way the Aussies do, but damn was he great in Mr. Frost.

How is that even possible? I think it was one of those cases where role matched the actor perfectly. I dunno. It's been years since I saw it, but I remember really enjoying it way back when on HBO.

Goldie, thanks for the Full Report (as Gunhill Road put it). I'm not surprised that the uncut version was still censored.

How is that even possible? For him to Loathe Jeff Goldblum or for Jeff Goldblum to have been great in Mr. Frost?
