Thanks for the post, Choco. I did some net searches on the apparently defunct truth miners message board, and found it listed several times with snopes, but no listing of it among defunct message boards, and the dates it existed, and who was behind it.
Don't know if it's worth spending any more time on.
While it would be a lot of hard work, I think my time would be best spent finding out what I can about Rev. Ted Mcllvenna and his massive porno collection, and if HIM could have been included.
Also, I have thought about joining the Lost Wiki Media board, where there is a thread on HIM, but strangely, I could find only one post for London After Midnight.
Meanwhile, here is a "lost media" u-tube video about HIM.

A few minutes of google fu has revealed to me that Ted McIlvenna is alive and well. Apparently he's on the faculty for the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, as well as being the Executive Director for the American College of Sexuality. Any mention of him brings up his voluminous library of over 3 million pieces of erotica. The collection is apparently collectively known as the "Exodus Trust Archives of Erotology. I'm still looking into things, but apparently their most famous find was when two students discovered "thousands of 8mm loops" in some basement. I think it's possible this is a valid search direction.
EDIT: Apparently the Exodus Trust is the official library for the IASHS, which is, for the record, a for-profit college. However, if the detective grapevine can get a man on the street in the San Francisco area, perhaps inquiries can be made to search the facilities for any trace of Him, Ed D. Louie, or Hand-in-Hand.

And I can never remember which one belongs to the Queen. All of Eire belongs to Freddie Mercury --it's those damn Windsors that keep making trouble.

I enlarged the thumbnail of the book, and it looks like he might have had a co-author, but, yes, he apparently did write a book.

I have in the past, mentioned the Maryland Board of Film Censors, which censored films in that state thru 1981.
So far I have not found how to get records of the board from March 1974 thru the board's closing in 1981, but here is a link.
I'm wondering if making a donation to this project might get us some answers as to whether Him was passed by the Maryland board with cuts, or banned altogether in Maryland.
Also, a check on the records of other countries besides the USA with censor boards might aid in the searches done by film detectives interested in Ed D Louie's HIM.

I did a search of Newspaper Archive,as limited a search as a non-member could do, on Jesus film banned in Maryland 1974, and similar combinations of words, and did get listings.
Would newspapers have reported year by year, the numbers of films approved, and/or banned by the Maryland Censor Board, and the titles?
Of course, not being a member, I was got only numbers of listings, state by state, without the names of the newspapers.
I'm thinking about taking their one week free trial offer.
Does anyone know what their membership fee is?
I'm sure I could find out all kinds of stuff if I did have a membership with them, but I think that they also have premium newspapers that require additional payments, so even if I could afford their membership fee, it doesn't mean I could read for free everything I might find on my searches as a paid member.
Also, last night thru early this morning, I did a search on Jesus porno films, and it just went on page after page.
Anyone who believes that Jesus porno films are nothing but an urban legand, and aren't real, just dosn't know.
I didn't visit any of the web pages that were listed on my search, for obvious reasons.
But, if I, or some other film detective did visit those pages there is no telling what they might find.
However, Ed D Louie's HIM was made, released and played so long ago, that it would probably be listed on webpages specializing in historical Jesus porno films.
I think it's possible some of the webmasters of those webpages could have HIM or parts of it, and not be aware that they have somerthing that has long been sought after.
I have wondered if a HIM trailer could be on a Something Weird trailer Reel. I have the first two volumes of their Blue Book, and some of the trailer reels list a total number of trailers, but don't give all of the titles.
Of course, those SWV Blue Books are way out of date, and from my net searches, I wasn't able to find any clue as to what SWV's current listings for XXX films might be.
Anyone else on here in the know about SWV Today?

It would probably be listed on webpages specializing in historical Jesus porno films. How many of those do you suppose there are?

Deeky, I didn't notice any in the listings that said they specialized in historical films, but I'd say most of the webpages seemed to be related to current day porno films about Jesus.

Finally found a yearly report on the Maryland Censor Board, 1975 fiscal year. Deep Throat and Devil in Miss Jones, "edited version" were both rejected. Don't see HIM on the list, but it would be good to get the yearly reports until the final year the censor board existed. Wonder if Deep Throat and Devil in Miss Jones might have eventually been approved by 1981? msa.maryland.gov/megafile/msa/speccol/sc5300/sc5339/000113/020000/020896/unrestricted/20150327e.pdfAt least this is a start on one angle for investigating the distribution of HIM that I have long wondered about. I was really surprised that The Life and Times of Xaviera Hollander, a hard core porno film was approved! It probably had some cuts, I have seen the film and it is a real ding donger!

It's kind of weird that when you search the state archives directly there are no real results for the Motion Picture Censor Board or the files Billy found.

Deeky, got to get to work. I'm already late, but thanks for the replies and for liking my posts. with 5 years of the censor board left, maybe HIM was eventually approved, although I would think if it was, there would have been quite a few cuts made.
Or, maybe the Maryland censors never approved it, although after the board closed, HIM would not have needed any censor approval to be shown in Maryland.
