I'm seriously considering getting one of those deep-tissue massage gun things that I'm seeing adds for all over. I'll probably skimp and get the knock-off (of which there are many already) over the real deal. Has anybody here tried one of those things?
I know what you're thinking: It does look like a sex toy, but I seriously want to get some deep muscle spots loosened up. That's not helping my case, is it?
Kobb.

Kobb. What?!? Did I do it again?

Either my feet are still growing, or flattening, or something. Mine are definitely flattening. I used to wear regular old size 10s, but now I need either a 10.5 or a 10 wide. How very odd. In the last couple of years I shrank from a 9 to an 8 and a half.

Local friend of mine just bought one of those, too. I hope he knows how to use it. Because I sure don't!

Update: This gadget is terrific. You know how so much of what you get via online ordering doesn't meet expectations? This actually surpassed! Feels effing great and has an assortment of heads for digging into tight spots.
Yes, I do realize how that reads, but I'm going to leave it. Bunch of deviants.

A nice perk at work this time of year is we get a one-time 25%-off purchase good for the next couple of weeks. I don't have any big ticket items in mind this year, but I could use some new cologne(s). Anyone here know of any good colognes available in-store at WM? Or is that an oxymoron? I know I liked Nautica, so I might get more of that...

Remember this thing? It has paid off in dividends. Really goes to work on the tension around my upper back, shoulders, neck areas.

It dawned on me that because I found 3D-type gifts for the sister and BIL, I actually purchased too many gift cards. This allowed me to wrap the last two up for the new, um, niece-in-law? No further shopping required.
I sure am lucky sometimes.

Mine are definitely flattening. I used to wear regular old size 10s, but now I need either a 10.5 or a 10 wide. Same here. I was 10.5-to-11 for decades. Now my toes feel uncomfortably cramped in anything less than 11's.
I was listening to a scientist on the BBC on the way home a cuple of weeks ago explaining how shoes have been messing up our bodies over the centuries we've been wearing them. Apparently, the original sandals/early shoes didn't have that much impact (as they were basically flat and just helped protect against pointy rocks and such), but since the industrial revolution, our shoes are causing our feet to flatten from disuse, and are contributing to a host of health issues, ranging from poor backs to hips to knees. He made a convincing case. They mentioned on the show that it is now rare to find any humans still extant who go around almost entirely barefoot, as we did for many thousands of years. I suppose they could try to interview the Sentinelese for some insights on the matter, though I wouldn't recommend it.
I forget the name of the BBC program, but it's specifically about the changes to humans (good and bad) that have come from technology, and visa-versa.
As a follow up many months in the making - I'm happy to report that, after some grueling months allowing my legs and knees to adjust, the switch to "zero drop" shoes has really made a difference in my ability to spend all day on my feet. Getting out on the bike every so often is helping the knees, too.

Beach balls? Decals? Prosthetics? Cheap beach balls that aren't nearly as huge as my current avatar would suggest.

Beach balls? Decals? Prosthetics? Cheap beach balls that aren't nearly as huge as my current avatar would suggest. But they'd still have 101 uses in a well-disordered household like yours.
