Wow! Do you play pro, or just a hobby? What sorts of tunes are you going to practice on it? I was a pro briefly in the early 2000's. Of course, all that means is that there were some folks out there so starved for entertainment that they would pay to listen to me. There's probably a really good reason I am back into programming now. This is my reward to myself for finishing PT on my left hand (I severed a couple tendons two years ago). Gonna learn to play again on this one. Thinking surf and rockabilly --those just seem to fit on this instrument. Red Elvises. Red Elvises will inspire you to new rockabilly heights.

They are effing awesome. My only complaint is their lack of availability for many of their items. Most of the things I was considering were not available in my size or just plain out of stock. Hell, they only came out with this Halloween 3 shirt a couple of months ago, and several sizes are already sold out. That's why I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it today.

Knowing what a fan you are of this flick, you better go ahead and bite on this one while you can.

I like it! Despite being a Halloween Head, I'm really not much into actual dressing up. However, I will for sure be wearing that baby to next year's Pensacon, and probably on Halloween eve when I'm handing out candy.

Stylish dork-about-town laughing at the judgemental? I couldn't have put it better myself. What I was thinking about though is my friend Michael who not only wears shirts like that -- Halloween is his favorite holiday, as it is mine -- he actually MAKES his own Halloween shirts. And aloha shirts. And other shirts that would make a sane man go mad if he looked at them for too long. He's a total dork but also one of the coolest guys around. Here is he is with some of his wardrobe:
We used to work in the same clinic, and one day I walked past him in the hallway with a client we shared. Michael was wearing a screaming-yellow shirt he'd made with gigantic, oversized short sleeves that made his arms look like toothpicks, baggy black pants, shiny black Italian loafers and this incredibly fussy bowtie in black and the exact same shade of yellow as the shirt. Our client whispered to me as I shut my office door behind him, "Should I be the one in mental health treatment with him wearing that outfit?"
So that client would disapprove completely of that outfit. But I approve. Utterly.

Damn! That is a staggering collection of aloha shirts your friend has, Goldfiskers! I can never hope to reach that level of awesome. Do you happen to have larger shots than those you posted? I'd like a better look at his collection.

An online place called Trendy Halloween is having a decent closeout sale on a bunch of items, so I had to pull the trigger. I really don't plan on spending a bunch of money towards Halloween this year, but I just couldn't miss out on some of these deals. And, I may have solved a dilemma I was having with a certain monster creation I've had in mind for the yard.
I'm rationalizing my obsessions, aren't I?
