Doing some last-minute finishing touches to things late last night, I decided to add some webs by my carport. I disturbed a small yellow-jacket nest and one brave little hive defender got me right above my underarm. Needless to say, that did it for webbing for the night.

Sheesh, We're not THAT old to not recognize beloved video game character super fighting robot Mega Man. He's had like, 30 games.

Not much of a turnout this year. I've a lot of candy leftover.

Halloween 2018 went off without a hitch. My sister made it over, and brought my Mom. Things were sort of slow at first, but then we'd get hit with some rather large visits, and I'd say by the last visitors (around 8:15) we probably had somewhere between 30-40 kids total. I know we ran through three bags of candy and a bunch of those goofy prank oddities I ordered from the magic shop. Halfway into that 6-8pm timespan, my computer guru showed up, and the gal I went on the haunted tour with brought her kid by.
A lot of great costumes on the kids, many compliments on the yard, not only from the parents, but the kids themselves. One really great one was a Mom who told me she and her son had been all over the neighborhood, and mine was the first house where he was kind of iffy about approaching. There were cute moments when the kids would fish out the odd eyeball, severed finger, or fake pet poo from the bowl, and little boy kept trying to shake the hand of Mr. Skeleton! Professor Kitteh made herself part of the display by just hanging out on the porch, greeting everyone who approached. Then, Mom and sis left, and the guru and I stayed up watching Ilsa: Harem-Keeper of the Oil Sheiks. Not my first choice of Halloween nights films, but an immensely entertaining, totally sleazy affair. After he left, I was able to take everything down in about an hour. The awesome news there is we are looking at serious storms all day tomorrow, and getting everything in while dry was crucial. All-in-all, I think I'm getting incrementally better at yard-haunting every year. I'm still pretty amateur, but it gives me tremendous joy trying to create these atmospheric scenes.
So, on to half-off sales tomorrow morning! Woo-Hoo!
Beat tonight, but will try to throw up some pix tomorrow.

Okay, well, it's almost 3am. I guess that qualifies as "tomorrow".
First three:
I should have gotten a better shot of eye guy in the car (first pic). I actually had him with one hand on the wheel and one in the air like a wave.
The second and third give a good idea of darker (actual) appearance versus with the camera flash.

Just found out about this today. A 1972 radio drama from WUHN about zombies. I didn't get to check this out with all the hubbub leading up to the 31st, but I gotta give this a listen now that things have settled.

Wow, Mr. Bill is finally tired of taking Sluggo's shit. EDIT: This reply would make a lot more sense if the attachment from Lemmy's post showed up.

For the record, I'm fairly certain that statue is of Vault-Boy, the mascot of the Fallout video game series. The armor and nailbat aren't in his normal appearance, but are definitely in line with the games themselves.

I've become a bit of a Halloween Hoarder in the last four years, but I've never really been a big "collector" sort of fan. However, I love those "Blood Island" flicks so dearly, this just had to come home with me.
