My first local spottings of the season! And just down the street! I'm positively giddy with excitement now.

I caught a glimpse of another yard decked out with skeletons on the way home from Walmart (where I also happened to slap one of those FUCK TRUMP stickers high on the bathroom wall)! |

Not a huge fan of Target's Halloween merchandise, but they did have my seasonal cereals, so I can't fault them for that.

But there seemed to be less of that this year, too. I suspect with everyone and their mother joining the Halloween season cash-in, Target just noped out. Kind of like Walmart. Both retailers have some stuff, but pretty meh. |

The standalone Spirit Halloween store unceremoniously opened today. I didn't discover this until a half hour ago, so will probably go check it out tomorrow. Seems odd to open on a Tuesday, but what do I know?

I finally found a "soundtrack" to my yard haunt for this year. Been looking for some good ambient sounds for my walk-through and concentrating on haunted woods ambient sounds from YTube. Switched it up last night and punched "graveyard" into the search instead and found an hours'-worth that should do quite nicely.  |
