We're going to visit a couple of local pro-haunts Saturday night, and it occurred to me that it would be fun to have a custom shirt made that read: I'M NOT PART OF THE HAUNT. I JUST LOOK LIKE THIS.

Yep. Same place from previous years' Halloween pictures. I have a HUGE front yard. When you figure in that I'll be hanging my swing girl technically in my neighbor's yard, and planting a skeleton witch in my other neighbor's treeline, I am working with the equivalent space of three front yards. That's why this becomes such a production every year. My yard is Texas-size big.

Cool vintage picture from "Knott's Scary Farm", one of the oldest professional haunts in the nation. I think they're still at it to this day.

Glad they pointed out which one was the little woman.
Funny you should post this, as I asked (on the Halloween forum I visit) if anyone had tried "corpsing" one of the giant skeletons yet. No answer there yet...

Here's one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" ideas:

This made my whole day. Me too! It's right up there with the skeleton break dancer for me in terms of winning Halloween this year.

Visited a couple of local pro haunts last night. The long-running Purgatorium was quite slow and it was just she and I going through it. We enjoyed it, but apparently the new haunt on the block, The Scare Spot is all the rage now. They've only been around for about three years now, but that's where the crowds were. Took a long time after the opening bell for them to be ready to allow people in, but it was indeed a superior haunt, I can't lie. Hopefully, the competition will only improve both attractions. The Scare Spot has done a much better job with their advertising than Purgatorium, with crudely made signs all over town. I think The Purgatorium has been relying on social media to get the word out.
It's really tough for her to get Friday and Saturday nights off, so that will likely be it for that sort of event this year.
