It's crazy how they pump out sequel-after-sequel for some of these horror franchises. I'm not even talking about the Halloween and Friday the 13th series. Those are insane. But did you know there are five separate The Prophesy movies?!? I forget how many Hellraisers or Amityvilles. It's just awful.

Have you all ever visited TV Tropes? My God, I sincerely believe I could one day simply disappear into that site.

There are eight "Bad Ben" movies and I wasn't even aware of this series.

What's even crazier is I thought bro was dead.

What's even crazier is I thought bro was dead. Are you thinking of George Romero?

Argh. The article is from 2022, so I looked to see if I could score it through my usual means. No luck.
If nothing else, it (the article) explains why there are SO MANY Amityville films.

God, I barely remember at this point. All I can say is it was nowhere near as good as the hype: the story was silly, the acting overwrought, the "twist" so painfully obvious. It was just plain bad.

Not a lot comes to mind here, either. I recall liking the seedy, 1970's "look" of the film. They seemed to put a lot of effort into that, which I appreciated.

I kept hearing that it was a triumph of a film and everyone should see it in spite of the haters. It was skillfully made, Pheonix was pitch-perfect in the role, but the end result was so depressing it made me want to jump off a cliff.
