I was surprised to see that as the cost of everything else spirals skyward, for some reason my homeowner's insurance went down. For time out of mind it's been $176/year but this year they only asked for $116. |

I was listening to an interview on NPR today about post-Roe backlash and they had a pro-life commentator on as a guest. Terry Gross asked her what she made of Alex Jones as a reflection of the GOP and she cut in sternly to say "Alex Jones does NOT speak for the Republican party. He's a horrible man who's said horrible things and he deserves the horrible attorneys who gave the contents of his phone to the court." Wow!

That does seem very odd because in spring we had seek after week of pelting rain... Maybe it all came here? Normally summer is drought season here in the Maryland tidewater, but this year it's rained savagely for an hour or two about three out of every five days since late May. |
