Orlando Magic gutted it out and beat arguably the best team in the Association (Minnesota Timberwolves) on their home floor tonight. Huge win!

I had a crazy amount of little chickadees or finches in my yard yesterday. It was adorable watching them all dig into the feed I throw out. There's a little colony of them in some thick bushes outside of my neighbor's but I had no idea it had grown to so many! So many finches! I'm dying of adorable.

The Orlando Magic have twelve of their final nineteen games at home against sub-.500 teams. They have not lost to a sub-.500 team on their home floor yet this season.

I still to this day will download some music and burn it off to a CD to listen to in the car or, as is more often the case, on a cheap desktop stereo system I have across the room from me when I'm at the computer. Now, let's not get into why I don't just stream or bluetooth or listen to my computer's speakers or whatever. I have my reasons in all those cases. This method's worked fine for a while, so I stick with it.
Well, here lately the cheapo stereo started acting up when playing these (also cheap) CD burns I was making. Played store bought discs fine, though. So, I had to dig out a box of old CDs and rummage around in it to find it, but I knew I still had one of those CD/DVD cleaner discs in there. I've had this fix-it disc since back in the days when Netflix was mail order! Anyway, it still worked like a charm! Stereo is back to playing my CD burns just fine again.
It's a small happy, but you know...

Have had quite a build up of pine straw on the roof since late last year. Well, yesterday we had some pretty good winds through and it knocked all the pine straw off!

I plan on winning the Mega-Millions Lottery drawing tonight, but I just wanted to assure everybody that I'll still drop by here now and then.

Visited the bay down by the railroad tracks today. Saw a bald eagle. Smoked a joint with a homeless lady. Oddly enough, all were on today's "to-do" list.

Took a stroll through some forbidden* woodsy trails earlier and spotted these cute little gnomes at the bases of trees. I'm going to see if I can fidn some cheap ones at area thrifts and add to the joy.

It was touch-and-go right up to the last day of the NBA season, but the Magic are going into the Playoffs as the 5th seeded team. They could conceivably have plummeted down to the 8th spot if other games had gone differently today.

I found a taker for some of my maneating Sweet Melissa plants. She says it's the only thing on earth that helps her sleep. I started her 5 pots of that shit, with the song playing in my head the whole time of course.

You know, anyone reading the above (outside of our little quilting bee) would assume that you are practicing witchcraft.

Look at the tail on this window sill visitor! Glad to see these back. There was an influx of a browner variety that nearly wiped these Geico gecko green ones out by feasting on their eggs. I'm wondering if something did the same to the brown variety, as they aren't nearly as visible as the previous few years this Spring. I am seeing more racing lizards this year, and that's nice, too. Very tough to catch a picture of those. They have what look like racing stripes running along their backs/sides, which I've always assumed was why we call them "racing lizards" instead of just "fast-ass lizards".

Maybe try video? If you know where their drag strip is of course...

Well, that or herb gardening lol I've never gardened herbs before, but am curious: Is it an indoor/outdoor endeavor? I mean, it can get pretty cold up there, right? Do you have a small greenhouse or something? Or do you grow them strictly inside?

Maybe try video? If you know where their drag strip is of course... I think anywhere rocky or sandy is their drag strip. But by the time I'm lumbering up near them they've hauled ass yards away. They're like blurs. Honestly, most of the time if they just sat still I'd probably miss them walking by.
I saved a shot from the Internets of one below. It looks pretty much like the green one I shared above (but with different markings) from this image. My google for "racing lizard" actually took me to "racerunner" although I've never once heard anyone here call them that.
