I am very happy the work week is over.   It felt a bit longer after only having one day off last week.  Some people pack a lot of stuff into their weekends from the job.  I don't, but this one is a pretty full plate by my standards.

Yep!  Getting together with the pixie late tomorrow night, if all goes according to plan.  Seeing The Incredibles 2 in a few hours with the work gal, then some eats.  In between all that, I desperately need to get out in the sweltering heat and battle the lawn and the hedges.  And that'll be the "weekend" for me.

The yard is once again presentable.  I'm effing exhausted and sun-burnt, but it feels really good to have accomplished all I set out to do on it (and more).

I spent a week in Florida on vacay (sorry for not mentioning klobbers, slipped my mind til I was there and without access to here) and the past weekend my mom has been visiting the boy and I. Been pretty relaxing.

Oh man!  I could have shown you all the Pensacola hot spots.  Would have taken about 8 minutes.  But honestly, if any ZAQBers are ever down here, even if it's just passing through, it'd be lovely to chat in person for a bit.  I don't bite, and, even though I'm not "Mr. Excitement", I'm a pretty good listener, and enjoy the company of other people on rare occasion.  Most folks tell me they get used to the twitches and spasms after a few minutes.

Today has been exceptionally craptastic, in a craptastic month that has followed several craptastic months.

But I have one itty bitty thing to be glad for. Today, at my local greengrocer, I found boxes and boxes of name-brand tampons on the clearance rack (which happens to be right next to the refrigerated chicken breasts, but that's just coincidental).

I know this won't mean much to most of all y'all here...but 34 Kotex tampons per box for a whopping $2.75. In the useful mid-range absorbencies that generally cover most situations. I could not believe my eyes. It was like Christmas in (almost) July.

A really worthwhile find. I can't relate directly, but my wife ran a women's health board for almost 8 years --so yeah, I was informed this kind of thing is important a whole buncha times.
