A round-up of bizarre and odd happenings from across our fair state. The parade of hot teachers diddling students continues!

Remarried atop his concrete-entombed corpse.

This occurred way too close to home. Just a couple of blocks down the street, actually.

I also choose to keep my home clean.

I also choose to keep my home clean. One would think. However, palmetto bugs are a little different than your ordinary little German and Japanese home roaches. They are primarily outside-dwellers, but they seek moisture by any means necessary. Otherwise spotless homes can get the occasional palmetto bug inside. Homes with magnolia trees in their yards often have to deal with them because the broad leaves serve as virtual water cups for the roaches to thrive on.

It was a story about a club (that I want to say was down in the Miami area) where someone was riding a horse on the dance floor. Then, only a week or two later, there was a story in the news for some place elsewhere (not Florida) where the prom night had a live tiger in a cage.

Michael sounded impressively bad. A 14-foot storm surge in a state that's only 4 feet above sea level to begin with?

Yeah, the towns that Michael pounded were nothing more than glorified sandbars to begin with. They didn't stand a chance.
Meanwhile, for us at my store, it was a lot of sales for a storm that didn't happen here. So, the management is quite pleased.
