A Frontline special on the Uvalde massacre response.
The Last Drive-In: S11, E15 "Sledgehammer" (1983) Since I was reading up on SOV horrors, I thought I'd have a look at one of the legends, Joe Bob style.
"A Shot in the Dark" (1964) Obviously Sellers is a comedic genius, but everybody was so good in this! The entire pool game scene had me cackling. And fucking Herbert Lom by the end! I'm going to work my way through all the Pink Panthers next.

A long-ago movie trader dumped a pile of old trailer compilations on me and I've only recently gotten around to seeing any of them. Popped one in tonight called "Douchebag's Sci-Fi Trailers" and it's a total joy. Very few I haven't seen on it, but it's just a terrific collection of trailer choices from the 50's through the 80's. Really comfy viewing.

Deadly Friend A muddled thriller from middle-era Wes Craven.
Sorry. I was looking through a huge folder of "retired" images and it turned up.

It has crazy high scores on the IMDb. Never seen it myself.
Having a decent time viewing 2010-2020 alien invasion movies down here. Last nights' "The Recall" with Wesley Snipes was probably the worst of the seven I've watched thus far, but even it was okay. Hope to finish out the eight movies with "Sputnik" tonight.

It has crazy high scores on the IMDb. Never seen it myself. That's shocking because it was dumb af. I assume the original French version is great. But who knows.

Sounds like one of those they don't know how to categorize. It's listed under all the following subgenres: Psychological Thriller; Crime; Drama; Horror; Thriller; Mystery.

Started in on the first of the three looong (4+hr) "In Search of Darkness" documentaries on 80's horror movies. Terrific bunch of interviewees and cozy viewing for someone (like me) who saw many of these in the theater at the time. If you count the follow ups, this totals 14+ hours of happy viewing and I'm only about an hour and a half in!

Oh my! Those sound amazing. I kid you not, they are even better than their descriptions.
And we followed them up with a couple of episodes of Arthur C. Clark's World of Strange Powers loopiness.

The Serpent and the Rainbow More Craven nonsense, this time about voodoo. I see there is a Cursed Films episode devoted to that one. I'll have to give it a look.

The Serpent and the Rainbow More Craven nonsense, this time about voodoo. You haven't really experienced this film unless you've also read the book it's based on. The contrast is...startling.
