Here's one I picked up, in gloriously leatherbound hardcover, at Costco of all places.

Got some lite TC reading for the monthly challenge with my group. The required subject was "gangs," a subject I find pretty dull, but this was a different take on it:

Another thread I kept meaning to start and kept putting off. I was going to call it 'Mr. Bookman Is Out on a Case'.
Completely on impulse, I have been making my way through a whole bunch of Graham Greene. So far I've read The Human Factor, The Honorary Consul, and A Burnt-Out Case, I'm halfway through The Captain and the Enemy, and I have The Power and the Glory, A World of My Own and Our Man in Havana in the house. Not hard to see why he's so highly thought of. Very smart writing and yet very easy reading as well. If I didn't know going in that he was a practicing Catholic, I might have guessed that he was at least agnostic. What I've read so far doesn't paint a very flattering picture of the religion.

Dr. Fischer of Geneva (or The Bomb Party) and The Quiet American are periodic re-reads for me.

Curious. Has anybody here read Gene Wolfe's Book of the New Sun tetrarchy?

An interesting true crime case. The man on the cover -- born Eugenia Falleni but passing as Eugene Falleni -- was tried for killing his first wife.

I finally caught some of James Comey's interview with Stephen Colbert, and after initially deciding I wasn't willing to read another single word about the Great Pumpkin, decided I wanted to read his memoir, just because he comes across as a voice of reason amid all the nuttiness.

I am seriously (finally) considering getting a subscription to this fine magazine. It feels like a fair chunk of change, but I've really enjoyed the issues I've picked up through the book dealers here. Problem is, they sometimes seem to carry it, and sometimes seems they don't.

Betcha folks think twice about laughing off that grumpy neighbor who yells "Keep your damn dog out of my flowerbeds!" from now on.

Not the true crime fan that Goldfish is, but this one is on my radar: I downloaded it to my Kindle Fire and started reading it an hour after they announced the capture of that bastidge. The tripleheader of catching the East Area Rapist, Original Night Stalker and Golden State Killer all at once appear to have turned into a quadrupleheader. They think he may also be the Visalia Ransacker. Christ, did the guy ever sleep???
