He was also the lead ballet dancer with the Metropolitan Opera in the 1950s.

Deeky, thanks for posting the 2 Almond Joy / Mounds commercials. The second one was new to me, so I'm especially glad to see another of the great number of variations the Almond Joy / Mounds commercial producers found to use different visuals with the same old familiary song.

Man, that's one of the best. There's this one PSA that also used to freak me out from the late 80s-early 90s that was about unsafe sex that I just cannot find online. It has this hazy blue filter on it and shows a girl at some sort of fancy dance, waltzing from one partner to the next, faster and faster, while the narrator totally slut-shames the girl. Her final partner is then shown in closeup to be revealed as DEATH!! I remember that one!!! Weirdly, it seemed to vanish off the airwaves as soon as someone discovered HIV... At last, SOMEONE does. I feel just an iota less crazy for it.

I read somewhere that Doug Jones played Mac Tonight.
But not this guy. He's a bit too...macho, I guess.

Fun fact, Moon boy there from Nightbreed (not his character name) also played the chatterer in the first two Hellraiser films.

OMG, it WAS 7Up. This is not the original, cartoon-animation version -- this, incredibly, is some sort of higher-tech remake. I shall continue looking for the old one but I have to go to a home visit right now.

There's this Rankin/Bass nightmare: Dear Scrod, those are 2 more versions I haven't thought of in years. I only saw them a few times. How many can there be, for Pete's sake?

This one looks kinda like the one I described before, probably on another thread. Obviously the album cover is not the PSA commercial I remember, but it is similar enough to where it might lead to finding the video I'm looking for, with the guy in the bell bottom pants holding onto the parking meter and the song, "Standing Here, Wondering . . . " I'm just wondering what Public Service cause the commercial was for? Doing some more net searches, I have found out the PSA the song standng here wondering which way to go, was in relation to high schooolers droppin out of school. But I can't find any actual dates for when the TV commercial ran, and, it's mystifying, why I can't find the commercial itself, only that still screen grab shown with the song. Anybody know how to find a link to the actual TV commercial itself? Could it possibly be unavailable because of some copyright issues of using the song? Even if that's the case, lthere wouldn't be any problems with the visuals of the PSA itself.

One of the Meetup movie group pointed out how Jet Jaguar sort of resembles Mac the Knife:
