Title of a book that we have at the library where I work: Marriages of People Named FloydIt's a law library, right? Are these Floyds married to six-year-olds or illegal aliens or what?

Kind of reminds me of this for some odd reason.

While this was made for Reddit, I suspect it applies to most hobbies/fandom:

It's a genealogy book. We have scads of those for reasons that are now totally obscure, but probably seemed like they made sense to the guy who was running the place back in the 50's and 60's.

Last night, I got a phone call from a pollster. Those are annoying, of course, but I consider it something of a civic duty to cooperate with them-- at least so long as they have the decency to put a live human being on the other end of the line. (I do not talk to robots, no matter what their mission.) Anyway, after establishing that I was eligible to vote in the state of Maryland, and that neither I nor any member of my household belonged to disallowed classes like journalists or political candidates, she asked me how likely I was to vote in the election for Ben Cardin's old Senate seat this year.
"100%," I said.
Then she asked me, on an open-ended basis, what was the most important issue motivating my choice of candidates.
"The Republican Party must be destroyed," I said.
And that was when she hung up on me.

And while we're at it, wtf is a diaper party? A baby shower for the father.

And while we're at it, wtf is a diaper party? I think that's how Trump's lawyers convince him to appear before the court.
