This is not really a personal insight, but I just had a looooong talk on the phone with the relative of a client of mine and the new information made a lot of things fall into place for me. I now understand what I need to do with this case to make it come out well for my client. This kid has been on someone's caseload here at CMH since he was little and now that he's almost a teenager we finally have a direction to go in.

I work with a lot of black guys, and it occurred to me that black guys look at butts the way that white guys look at breasts. They can't be too big. Now, obviously I'm generalizing, but it certainly seems true of the majority in either case.

Not so much an insight as an observation, but has anyone else ever gone through periods where you repeatedly make the same (typically absentminded) mistakes? Here lately, I've had a bad habit of not looking while reaching for drinks - with exactly the results one might expect from such a foolish move. There's been other times where I'd keep forgetting to set alarms/timers for a spell, or lose the same things repeatedly. They always pass, but it's odd how these things seem to come in waves like that.

I honestly believe that if LeBron James can lead the Lakers to a championship this season he will have indeed earned the GOAT distinction. I've always been one of those, "Nah, Jordan was best"-people, but if LeBron can pull this off in his seventeenth year in the Association, he deserves the accolade.
