Oh, fuck. I have heard of those. They were actually talking about one during a late night BBC broadcast on NPR about a year ago. I don't know if it'd work out too good for the lucky survivor in our case. They'd just inherit my debt.

So very easy for me just to go into hibernation for the next 70 years or so. You humans can play, if you want.

I absolutely adore "The Institute", and hope you will too. I look forward to it. NIGHT WARNING is proving to be a spectacular Mother's Day flick. Half an hour in, I'm starting to suspect Aunt Cheryl is wrapped a little too tight...

Ha Ha! "Night Warning" is literally the anti-Mother's Day flick if there ever was one.

"Zoomerang"! Thanks, Deeks. Loved the fucked-up disco party scene with the guy dancing with the tranny. Great soundtrack, too. How come I have the impression they didn't secure the rights to those songs?

Disk 4 of the SciFi Classics DVD collection, from Kobb Labs. Teenagers From Outer Space is especially needed by me, since it abruptly ended at the 45 minute mark, on the 5 films per DVD side, in the Mill Creek collection, this one, also titled 50 Movie pavk SciFi Classics having only 2 films per side of the DVD
Also, Hypno Video, # 11 "Sixties Space Invaders," with Planet of Female Invaders (Mexican, 1966) being the only one I have not seen at least part of, so I will very much enjoy reading the reviews of the 8 films.
Mars needs women was on Comet recently, but I didn't watch it then, although I did remember it well from my previous viewing.
Eye Creatures, I have only seen part of on MST3K. I'll tell more on the viewer discretion thread.

Am continuing to read the film reviews in Hypno Video # 11. Checked Teenagers from Outer Space and it was complete, so thanks again to Dr. Kobb for this improvement.

Cool to hear! Hope you enjoy, and perfectly fine with corrections/critiques. Not the best issue, writing-wise. Had some drama going on at work during much of the writing that made it hard to focus.

The print of Moonshine Mountain had such faded color and was so scratched up, and had very poor sound, one sequence with a buzzing noise that finally somehow just suddenly stopped, and the sound became OK again.
One net purchaser of the Sinister Cinema print said some of the damage to the film looked like UFOs, and I noticed that part, and would have to agree.
Sad to say that while other of HG Lewis's films have been well preserved, Moonshine Mountain is one of the worst preserved, although it's forutnate that it is not one of HGL's lost films.
At about the one hour mark, the film takes its turn into HGL "gore" territory, with the "stomping" murders, which were totally missing when I first saw it at a drive-in.
This print has the stomping included, altho the explicit shots of the ribs being cracked and lung exposed are edited out Reportedly HGL used pig innards for those details, which were done by Pat Patterson, a stage magician, Lewis considering his special effects a bit too "stagey."
I've located one webpage with a print that has better color and sound, but in it, the disposal of the stomped to death victims and their disposal into the moonshine still is very choppily cut, as is also the Axe killing, and the shot of the human body parts that were in the still after it was blown up, are completely missing in that better quality print.
Reportedly, Arrow Video has taken all of the different quality prints of Moonshine Mountain and edited them into as good a presentation as there could be.
It seems that Moonshine Mountain suffered most from the censorship, which took the horror movie edge off of it (some drive ins did present it as a Horrorama, with the Crawiling Eye and Cosmic Monsters as 2nd & 3rd features, and another drive in in Kansas, had it on an "adult" program with Naked Witch as second feature.
Just like I love typographical errors (mostly my own), I also love seeing this terrible print of Moonshine Mountain which does include some of the stuff censored from other prints.
