Mayz, you moved? Your card came back to me marked "UNABLE TO FORWARD." Hmm, nope still at the same place. OK, that's weird.

From Kobb Labs: Night Warning DVS, worth waiting for, although I have not yet started watching it. Had a long day, not driving the car, which needs to be put into the shop, Morning was spent hiking to auto dealership, 45 mins each way, not all that bad a trip, but west of the Waterway, no concrete sidewalks, sometimes soggy soft highway shoulders.
Probably told all you other ZAQBers I have plastic mesh and stainless steel staples and wires holding my abdominal wall together. and with hiking, those structures start giving me pain. As long as those structures are not torn loose, I can put up with the pain, but lately I've been having more pain in my hip joints. A devout hypochondriac, I have read up on all the causes of such pains, and walking is considered the best treatment.
Afternoon hike was across the waterway, after which there are concrete sidewalks, but walk to the post office was well over one hour, round trip close to 3 hours. But, it was worth it to find Night Warning in my PO Box. Many thanks to Dr. Kobb for sending it. Goldie, I hope your copy has also arrived.

My copy of NIGHT WARNING arrived too, but when I went to watch it, do you think I could find it? No, I could not.

Whew. I was afraid you were going to say it wouldn't play or something. I should warn - it's not from the greatest print. Kinda dark, and obviously from an old VHS.

Well, if the cats ate it I can't play it no matter how good or bad the print is.

I heard from an old VHS trade contact I haven't been in touch with since PRIOR TO NURSING SCHOOL.

How long ago was nursing school at this point? It doesn't seem THAT far back in time, but...

I think it was several boards ago. Plus, I'm counting when I started taking pre-req's, which was a couple of years prior to the program itself. I don't know. A decade or so?

No? Hell, I don't know. I keep terrible track of time. I blame all the weird shift hours I've worked over the years. My days/nights/"weekends"/etc are completely different than many people's. Eight years, maybe? I think Deeky said we were at the last board for about seven years, and I know I first decided on going back to school another board or two before that.

Been going a bit through that whole "gee, my life really is a failure, innit?" thing lately, what with this year being my college's 25th anniversary and law school's 20th. Of course, Kobb can still work math magic as well as he did a decade ago.

Well, your New Age types would no doubt assure you that there is a Higher Reason for every plateful of sh!t you've ever had to eat. I certainly hope they're right, but I struggle to imagine what crimes could fit these punishments.

I don't know what it is, but I suspect it has to do with operating mostly out of my right brain - but I have zero arithmetic retention. Which sucks, because I have tremendous respect for math. It just doesn't stick with me. Plus, i think I genuinely have a mild form of number dyslexia. I will intend to jot down a 6, and instead put an 8 or a 5 or whatever.

It really is mind boggling how long this little quilting bee has been around, isn't it?
