A raincoat for cats is so very Japanese.

Don't know about other cats, but this one tends to choose places as her sleeping spot for a week, and then move on to another place, constantly rotating her choices around the house. Well, this week her favorite spot is the leather chair I watch movies in after work. So the entire night after work was me trying to watch The Sinful Dwarf (1973) while the cat would hop up next to me for a bit, get disgusted, want to go outside, come back in, repeat.

And once she got her chair back, she didn't even care about the loud, jarring soundtrack to much of the movie. An incredibly stubborn creature, like myself.

Kitteh is being outrageously patient with you! My giant cat used to crawl into a chair behind my dad, plant all four feet against the back of the chair and HEAVE until my dad had to get up and sit somewhere else.

Similarly, Lily sat on my legs while we watched CHUD and Castle Freak on friday night. I covered her eyes during the naughty bits.

Marxo, I had previously mentioned that the title of this thread reminded me of Brother Dave Garner saying something about "them cats."
It also reminded me by a song by Thin Lizzie (pronounced "tin" Lizzie) "The Boys are back in town."
As I remember the lyrics, they were "them cats is great," and that's what they were in a previous net search I did.
But, in my most recent net search, the lyrics are "them cats is crazy."
Been meaning to post about this for a long time, and glad I found the time to do so today, but with the lyrics variation, further study will be needed.
Did you start the "Them Katz Iz Krazy!!" thread on the old board, which, as I recently noted I read every single page of, although I still need to get caught up with this new board thread.
Here are the song lyrics as I last found them.
The Boys Are Back In Town
Thin Lizzy
Guess who just got back today Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven't changed that much to say But man, I still think them cats are crazy
They were askin' if you were around How you was, where you could be found
Told 'em you were livin' downtown Drivin' all the old men crazy
The boys are back in town (The boys are back in town)
The boys are back in town (The boys are back in town again)
You know that chick that used to dance a lot Every night she'd be on the floor, shakin' what she got
When I say she was cool she was red hot I mean, she was steamin'
And that time over at Johnny's place, Well, this chick got up and she slapped Johnny's face
Man, we just fell about the place If that chick don't want to know, forget her
The boys are back in town (The boys…
OK, I've edited he lyrics, dividing them up into verses, and part of the lyrics, such as "down at Dino's Bar and Grill," are missing.
I do not want to get off topic, but if "them katzs iz krazy" did come from that song, it is on topic.
However, I think I'll do a seperate thread on The Boys Are Back In Town, possibly on My Favorite Videos, because I like the song so much that it is a subject unto itself, apart from the Katz Iz Krazy thread.
Nuff said here.

But I could still hear what was going on. Usually it was schmaltzy background music and/or a bunch of panting, but I could still hear.

I've gone back and reviewed every page of this thread since my first post back on Page 1. That was in January of this year, so with the thread now at 6 pages, there's been a lot of posting here.
Gongratulations to Goldie on becoming a Doomsday Prophetess.
I remember on the Beverly Hillbillies, that Ellie May Clampett had a swimming cat, and visitors to the Clampett who inisted that "cats can't swim," were always given a demonstration to show that cats can swim.
And, on another occasion Ellie May had a cat with a bird roosting on its back.
I have noticed some photos on the thread of cats and birds together with no problems between them. That has not been the case, however with the cats that I have had. They really liked to snack on birds.
I know there have been a handful of photos on the thread that have been a bit uh, disturbing.
The one with the cat with the vampire looking fangs was a bit disturbing to me.

Yeah, birds and my cat are a bad mix. I really ought to give her a collar with a bell to spare the neighborhood avian population any more grief.

Last night, I read to kitteh from a collection of horror stories I picked up the other day. She seemed to genuinely enjoy it.

Marxo, I had previously mentioned that the title of this thread reminded me of Brother Dave Garner saying something about "them cats." I actually most often hear it in my head with an exaggerated Spike Jones-style German accent, but it adapts to many an idiom.
