Purfessor impressed yesterday. A small stray manx tried to slide in from the yard next door towards her food bowl while I was out back with her. Purf tore after that cat with a speed and ferocity I didn't realize she still possessed.

I haven't seen Purfessor in a day-and-a-half. I fear the worst. It's been days now and no sign of her. I fear the worst. I just couldn't coax her in out of that ghastly heat with the dog here, too. There's still a tiny glimmer of hope that someone down the row (without dogs) might have taken her in, but I have to be realistic about it.  |

I guess I can tell you now, but no matter how pissed off you looked, that happy purring always gave you away. I hope our souls meet again someday. Unless I come back as a bird or something. You were hell on the bird population while you were here.
