Remember that giant 15 foot "burnt ghoul" I intend to hang in the yard? Here's a shot of him with his original hands...and the giant zombie hand lawn stakes I intend on replacing them with behind them on the couch.

Two fins way, way up! I gotta figure out a way to secure the little monster on my roof! Can you imagine him grinning down on visitors?

Christ, that thing's huge.

And then there's this little demon!
A relatively cheap prop that looked wicked taped to my window last year is this giant centipede. What I'd give for a whole batch of these things to place all around the yard and up the side of the house.

Christ, that thing's huge. I know! And with those gigantic hands! I can't effing wait! I have a huge front yard, and even decent-sized props tend to get swallowed up by the sheer scope. He's going to be hard-to-miss, though.

Or what about this: Find doll heads for those fuzzy red spiders you sent and make them its brood!

Do you have your choices picked out already? Or are you scrambling to find titles last minute? Oh I freestyle my movies, choosing off the cuff. That's half the fun!
Awesome! I love going into movies totally "cold". With maybe no more idea what I'm about to sit down to than the title and perhaps the year.
I don't know when I'll have a year where I can feasibly watch thirty one horror flicks in a month; but I love to imagine how I'd go about it. I mean, if one were to somehow categorize it. You could watch by date made, or horror sub-genre, distributor, directors, themes, etc.
Or, like you said - just wing it!

With as much rain as we typically see this time of year, the thought occurred to me: What if you had Halloween umbrellas to hand out in case the 31st turns out to be a rainy evening? So, I went looking, and MAN, there are a lot of fantastic Halloween umbrellas available out there. However, they are all prohibitively expensive.

I found that cool mermaid skeleton that Killer Goldfish posted here! I can't really figure it into this year's Halloween plans, but I still want one before they are all sold out.

My eyestalks idea didn't quite come together as hoped. I'd originally planned for a different spot where they'd stand out better, but I discovered during a test run today that they were too front-heavy, and would need some tying-off to the tree branches above to keep them up enough. Ah, well. Looks better when viewed actually here than in this shot I took. The eyes are battery powered and glow, but I won't waste them until maybe the night of Halloween.

Looks like this doll-faced spider will likely be somewhere in the mix (instead of the baby-headed idea) -
