Visited my local Spirit Halloween seasonal store this afternoon. Ah, never fails to get me all giddy for October! I feed like a vampire on the enthusiasm of the other customers, and there were a surprising number of fellow fiends of all ages exploring the place. I had a stupid grin on the entire time, despite seeing little in the way of things I'd be willing to pull the trigger on at full price.

It in fact is. Mainly due to the fact that anyone who can say it correctly three times fast is automatically assumed to be a master classman at giving head. |

I'm not happy that I woke up at 3:30pm today feeling all creaky and sore from the work week with zero desire to set foot (for even a minute) out in that Florida heat. I am however happy that I can just chill/coast today/tonight. For once, I'm relatively caught-up on things. Tired's tired, and I intend on wallowing in the off day slothfulness to the fullest. |

I never cared for the pre-dawn hours in the Meat. Of course, overnights sucked, too. 3pm-12am was sweet, but lasted less than six months, I think. Absolutely despise the 6pm-3am shift we've* been on since they changed us from the 3-12am. Didn't mind the work or the coworkers (Apart from one who's gone. Rot in Hell, Rosa!), but that shift sniffed butts.
Changing hours at work is - for me - a significant life change, and I tried to embrace the positives among the negatives in those previous shift times. This shift? On my own in the Produce from 1-10pm? I literally can't as yet find a single negative to factor in with all the awesomeness of this change in departments and scheduling.
*"We" being the stock crew.

I hadn't even left my neighborhood on the way into work today when I saw a perfectly good black baby stroller sitting by someone's curb. Hopped out and discussed it with the homeowner. Guy said it was just left in the middle of the street a couple of days ago, and if I wanted it, it was mine, as far as he was concerned.
So, I have this baby carriage and the Halloween ideas are flying! Will probably have one of the two poseable skeletons "pushing" it. Alternately, if i can find just the right place,one of my cheap hanging ghost props could be made to appear to be pushing the stroller. All sorts of possibilities for what might be IN the stroller. It's already got a cover, but a little creatively placed creepy cloth might give it that properly decrepit look.
God, I love Halloween decorating.  |
