Resolved to hit the gym this year, for the first time in mumblemumblemumble years.
- Commitment buddy is helping me keep the commitment
- Commitment buddy also knows very cute martial artist who's helping me ease back into lifting
- Worked my shoulders to almost-failure today --I'd forgotten how excellent that feels afterwards

Just learned that while I am at my 5-day training conference I will get to choose my own food. They didn't ask the usual question about dietary restrictions and I was terrified they were going to feed us pizza every day, forcing me to succumb to a migraine halfway through the event. Now that I have a firm offer from someone who will feed kittehs the whole week and I know I don't have to eat dairy, I suddenly feel safe to go.

I haven't looked, but I'm pretty sure you could find one. Either in a Halloween catalog or in one of those old Johnson Smith Co catalogs (if they even still exist). |

I kind of enjoyed working in the yard back when I was also employed. But there was always that time factor. So I'd typically run through blasting away at weeds and trimming shit with mechanical tools. It was a decent method for conserving all-valuable time on days off.
Anyway, it's nice to just be able now to go out there for an hour or two and pull weeds and clip back small brush in a less hectic more relaxed pace. Still a lot to do? No problem, there's tomorrow and the day after that and the day after... I guess what I'm trying to say is I can approach my yard care from more of a gardener's view now.

I just had the best bike ride! Weather's been all drizzly, cloudy for a week, and more of same after today. Rare to get a day where it's this sunny, this cool, and this arid all at once down here.
I have got to get out on the bicycle more. I believe it might be the salvation for my creaky knees.
