Along with the numerous bird types and squirrels (and rats) that are joining the nut & berry feast in the backyard is a small black snake. Seen him fairly frequently of late. I think it's too small to take out the rats, but maybe with time. I don't know what it's feeding on, but I never seen those big crickets in the back.

It just occurred to me that I can visit garage and yard sales on the weekends now. That was something I could rarely get around to during my working years, because I was always - well - working through the weekends.

The shed is nearly (finally) completed. It's really more like a mini-barn, with huge lofts I'll be able to store so much stuff in. I'll post up some pictures next week or the week after.

On my way back from lunch, I saw a grizzled, 70-ish white guy with a big beard and a trucker cap climb out of an expensive car bearing a "TRUMP FOR PRISON" sticker on the back bumper. Some of the geezers are alright after all.

I could have posted these a week ago, but anyway, here's a couple of shots of the shed. The lofts are a lot bigger than they might appear in the picture. It's like having another shed but higher! Most of the Halloween junk will go up top in the off-seasons after we get through this October.
