The title alone made me read this one: This was, um, OK: Just okay on that second, huh? Shame. Intriguing story there.

The guy just went on and on and didn't come to the point until the very end. He has no narrative flair at all.

My copy of the reissue for the Codex Seraphinianus has arrived... Holy shit! To the best of my knowledge, no actual Seraphim's anuses were harmed in its production. Further, there is no "odor of sanctity" about it. It's actually kind of a nice reprint, if you know anything about the original.

How is the binding? Some of the Amazon user reviews were complaining...

How is the binding? Some of the Amazon user reviews were complaining... Seems fine, actually. I gather there were some issues with at least a few copies, though. No problems I've noticed with mine, however.

We had this children's book (English version) when I was little would love to see it again after all these years, but don't wanna pay the prices they want for it. My sister wound up with some of the books from our family library, but no one knows what happened to this treasure.

So, quite a while back (it might not have even been this current board iteration) I mentioned wishing I could find an old, beloved book on walking called "The Joy of Walking". It was a 70's book with all sorts of great quotes and essays by a variety of thinkers about walking. Well, it's been a couple of years since I even bothered looking around for it, but I believe I may have found a new edition of it. The cover is different, but the insides sound the same. The current book is supposedly from 2020, and I didn't have any luck looking for earlier editions. Still, I'm probably going to take a chance and order it.
